Laurel Canyon Park
One of my favorite places to take my beagle, Lola, is Laurel Canyon Park on Mulholland Drive. I’ve been to a couple of dog parks in California and Florida and this one is my favorite by far. Let’s start with the fact that the park is huge! It’s right at the edge of the canyon so while the dogs are having fun the owners can enjoy the dramatic views of the city. There are tables and benches throughout the park for the owners to relax while their k-9 companions enjoy themselves. There is running water and plastic pools for the doggies that love the water. There is also a fenced in smaller area for timid dogs and smaller sized dogs to play.
The inhabitants of the park are always friendly and ready to play. The people are friendly too
The park is free and open to the public with lots of free parking on site. There is no ranger or caretaker on duty though. The place is pretty well looked after by the devoted patrons of the park.
